Our Story

Two Tony’s Restaurant, co-founded in 1987 by Tony Montalbano Sr. and Tony Montalbano Jr., wants to share with you what their patrons have been enjoying for decades. Once you taste their Montalbano family style Sicilian marinara, there will be no other served at your dinner table.

Tony Jr. grew up in his father’s family restaurants located in the New Orleans French Quarter.  This is where he cultivated his passion and talent for preparing mouth watering dishes.  The natural progression for the Two Tonys was to open their own restaurant in this neighborhood .

After opening Two Tony’s Restaurant in 1987, it quickly gained a following of locals and tourists alike.  Seven years later; after developing a successful business, the father and son team relocated to an area on Lake Pontchartrain known as Bucktown.  It had a handful of restaurants and as of 1994, Two Tony’s joined the ranks. It didn’t take long for the word to spread about the hidden gem in Bucktown.  It was soon realized that their seafood and Italian dishes are equally outstanding.  People return on a regular basis to get a sampling of Chef Tony’s homemade meals; the Marinara dishes being one of the most requested.  It has often been noted that you are getting a great meal at a place that feels like home. This is why TwoTony’s wants to offer their family sauce to your home.
